The Backstory

If you've been following me, Justin, on Twitter then you've probably heard about how my transmission gave up on me the day after I made my last car payment. I guess even Ford Explorers have a sense of irony.

Since the repair job is beyond what I can afford, I put Photo Dialer on sale and posted in a few places online to try to drive sales. My friends (who are all awesome, by the way) helped spread the word.

In particular, Robert was able to contact Think Geek, and they've graciously agreed to give away one of their Tauntaun Sleeping Bags!

The Prize

A Tauntaun Sleeping Bag from Think Geek, which is a $100 value.

The Contest

The prize will be awarded raffle-style, and there's two ways to enter. We'll close the contest to entries at 12 AM Saturday (Central Time) and draw the winner later that day.

Buy Photo Dialer

If you have an iPhone, buy a copy of Photo Dialer: it's on sale for just 99¢ in the App Store.

Then, take a screenshot of the Photo Dialer icon on your home screen (press the home and lock buttons simultaneously to take a screenshot) and email it to tauntaun@bleedingwolf.com.

Donate via PayPal

If you don't have an iPhone or want to enter more than once, you can donate money via PayPal: send any payments to billing@bleedingwolf.com. Every $1 you donate is a chance to win!

Thanks

Everyone I've talked to has been supportive and helping, and your support has made all the difference: this could have been a really awful situation for me, but with your help I've been able to not go crazy and/or broke. Thank you so much to you all.

The Maneater, Mizzou's student newspaper, has published an article about Nightlife, our Columbia bar special app! Money quote from one of our users, Patrick:

It’s really beneficial. This especially helps college students, because it allows us to save money, even if it’s just a little bit.

Glad we could help! If you're in the Columbia area, be sure to download Nightlife on the App Store.

A few days ago, Kyle and I were interviewed for KBIA, a local public radio station, about our app Nightlife and locally-focused mobile apps in general. The full transcript and audio is on their website.

Here's a quote from yours truly:

...a really well-done app can really engage with people on a totally different level than a website or a desktop app.

If you're a local business and want to engage with your customers on a totally different level with a really well-done mobile app, contact us and we'll make it happen.
